Last week felt so Spring like here in Somerset with daffodills flowering and lots of new lambs in the fields- it really is a perfect time fo year to treat mum to a weekend away. There is lots to see and do in our wonderful part of Somerset – The West Somerset Steam Railway re opens for the season that weekend and with eight stations on route to Minehead on the coast it makes a wonderful day out.
DUNSTER CASTLE
Dunster Castle – an iconic National Trust fifteenth century caslte is perhaps the perfect day out for mum- its a short drive from all our Lavender Hill Cottages and the village of Dunster Itself is stunning with medevil market place, mill and lots of craft shops, tea rooms and galleries and scrummy cafes for lunch , including the National Trust one as well at the castle.
CHERRY TREE FARMHOUSE
This is available due to a cancellation for that weekend and the prices have just been reduced from £1765 to £1465 for the three night weekend break and £1365 for a two night weekend break . Cherry Tree Farmhouse has five bedrooms and accomodates 11 comfortably and is ideal for an mulit family holiday- perfect for children and adults alike with private hot tub, use of the indoor swimming pool which is heated to 30 so ideal for children, private hot tub and games room and large, well fenced garden with wooden play area. Cherry Tree Farmhouse is in walking distance to the amazing village pub THE NEW INN where Sunday luncehs are a specialty with great vegi and vegan options!!
THE TREEHOUSE
The amazing Treehouse – our very own five star self catering Treehouse with two bedrooms accoodation a family or couple perfectly is also available that weekend and the price has been reduced from £700 to £645 for the three night weekend break and from £645 to £595 for the two night wekeed break. The Treehouse is nestled in the boughts of a mature Lime tree and has a private hot tub and use every day from midday to 7pm of the indoor pool. A perfect weekend spot to spoil a special Mum!!
RAILWAY COTTAGE
With THE WEST SOMERSET STEAM RAILWAY re opening that weekend for the season – a weekend at the amazing three bedroom Railway Cottage is sure to be a hit with mums of all ages. There is a private hot tub and the cottage is close to one of the best Somerset pubs we know- the wonderful BICKNOLLER INN so we holiday here doesnt mean cooking for mum all weekend if she gets treated to one of their amazing meals!! A wonderful gin menu as well!! The three night weekend break is reduced to £695 from £850!!
