8/10  The pool and hot tubs were great, though there was an overheating problem with the pool initially it was put right as soon as we informed you.  Loved the bath robes, pool table, huge garden, welcome goodies and wonderfully big beds.   Brereton - September 2018

10/10  Had a very relaxing weekend with age ranges from 3 to 67 but we enjoyed walks through the local lanes and fields. The house was so private and lovely we didn’t feel the need to venture far!!  Shipley - September 2018

10/10  The children loved the garden and the play equipment, the adults loved the garden and the hot tub. We all enjoyed the swimming pool.  We enjoyed the steam train to Minehead and had a lovely day in Dunster.  Crocker - August 2018

10/10  I loved how everything just worked. It sounds simple enough, but I have been holidaying in self-catering homes for over a decade and usually something doesn't work. Usually the kitchen is badly stocked (loved the fact you had a blender, I brought my own not expecting you to have one). I liked that you provided dishwasher tablets etc that are a hassle to get for a one week stay. The towels and sheets and beds were all lovely and fresh. This is important to me as I get a bit squeamish about sleeping in strange beds. Everything looked really clean, which is not always the case in a carpeted 400-year old house that's a holiday home.

Also, though my kids are out of the buggy etc phase, I rather wished we'd found out about Lavender Hill Holidays when they were younger. It's so geared around making things easier for parents. Wonderful!

The swimming pool was a big hit with the kids. They spent at least one hour each day in it, often much longer. Although we shared it with other properties, we only saw another family a couple of times.

We also appreciated the tips on walks, days out etc.  Scott - July 2018

10/10  Our stay was fantastic. The house is very well equipped and the perfect venue for myself and my guests. I took lots of unnecessary things with me, like hand soaps and tea towels etc which could of been advertised as already being there. Other than that, it was perfect!! Thank you.  Bennett - June 2018

8/10  Lovely location and amazing garden for the dog and our granddaughter to play in. Swimming pool very nice - found the hot tub was a bit too hot but as it was in full sun that was probably why.  Steam Railway - Watchet to Minehead (although very hot when we went). Dunster Castle and village  Dale - June 2018

10/10  We were so impressed that this property had everything that we could possibly need. We only stayed for the weekend and coupled with good weather we didnt actually leave as it was so lovely just relaxing, enjoying each others company and there was plenty to keep the children entertained. Can't thank you enough. Your property made an old school reunion feel like a proper holiday.

8/10 The space worked well for us as a family group of 9 (2 teenagers in Nanna's room, 1 single parent in room next to Nanna's, grandparents in downstairs bedroom and family of 4 (kids aged 5 and 2) in the triple room and small double room at the other side of the house). Kids enjoyed the pool and kids play area, adults and teens enjoyed the hot tub and garden in general, plus the bbq. Well equipped for families with young children (toys and equipment in general).

From a kitchen pov then very well stocked kitchen re utensils etc but could do with a sieve (as noted by other guests in the past). Overall we all enjoyed our stay there and found it a very user friendly house (apart from the low doors where we had a few bumped heads ;-) )

Dunster Castle was great day out on a sunny day with 2 kids (aged 5 and 2) and 2 dogs (aged 2 and 11 weeks)
Brean Sands is great for day out with dogs as they allowed on beach all year around - May - 2018

10/10 We liked the fact that the rooms were not all on top of each other. It would obviously would make it better for us all to have another bedroom which had an ensuite but we realise that this would not be possible.
Plenty of cutlery, glasses, crockery etc.
Bedding perfect
It would have been nice to see some pictures and history of the house
Perfect welcome provisions
The only thing that would make it easier is to have an earlier check in.
The gate post is loose which makes it difficult to open as a couple of us caught our hands quite badly.
But all in all house and surroundings were perfect we will definitely be back

We just chilled and went for walks and the men played golf. - May 2018

10/10 Loved the pool and hot rub! Welcome pack with milk and bread etc.. would have nice touch. Breakfast pack and lamb outstanding quality.
Early checkin time 1600 too late. 1000 am check out too early! Especially for large party with children.

West Somerset railway. Day trip to Minehead - February 2018

10/10 Everything we needed in and around the house. Fantastic for a few days relaxing with friends and family. House is beautiful and has everything you need. Swimming pool and hot tub fantastic to keep kids entertained and for adults to relax in the evening

9/10

A great cottage with excellent facilities for a family get together.

Only one small suggestion, due to the wet weather a hosepipe on the outside tap would have been a great help in washing the dogs off. -  January 2018

9/10 The cottage was truly lovely. Full of character. Beautifully equipped and furnished, good size living room and lots of seating. Beds were comfortable although the day bed in the bedroom with 3 beds was not comfortable (since renewed).  Very well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub.
Better lighting in the dining room would be good. Also better lighting for reading the the living room. Hard to access the one reading light.

We walked up several HILLS NEARBY - ALL LOVELY BUT VERY MUDDY - January 2018

10/10 Beautiful cottage, we loved the hot tub and swimming pool. Very quiet and peaceful. Couldn't fault anything.
