Some things our recents guests are saying about Lavender Barn
9/10 The barn was well equipped and made up. Welcome bits and toiletries were left, which was a nice touch. Kitchen area was lovely and had plenty of space, the rooms were all a great size - lounge lovely, not huge, but cosy. Pool, hot tub and play area were a hit with children and the adults! Thank you for a lovely weekend! We spent our weekend in main using the facilities that come with the barn, but we did take a lovely walk around the village and beyond. - Davies, January 2019

9/10 Loved the layout of the barn and the pool in particular.
Would have perhaps liked the option for a mid-week service to clean the barn?
Wifi was patchy ( although for some in the group this was a plus rather than a minus!)
Overall we had a very happy week and were very pleased with the barn, its location and facilities. Thank you! Katan - Christmas 2018
9/10 The barn was fab, clean, very well equipped, lovely welcome basket of goodies the eggs were true farm fresh. Swimming pool was the ace in the pack along with the hot tub. Dunster castle well worth a visit, Watchet and Minehead both in easy reach. Shayle - November 2018
10/10 All the family enjoyed Lavender Barn pool, hot tub, games room, all sitting around the huge dining/kitchen table together, but still having our individual en-suite rooms, the log burner for cold evenings.
I think we were all very pleased with the property and the information folder . It exceeded our expectations !
Thank you, once again for a wonderful family week's holiday. Fox - October 2018
10/10 Loved the fact that each bedroom was ensuite. The kitchen was amazing. Dunster Castle was awesome. Brewster - October 2018
10/10 The barn and the outside areas were beautiful. It was a shame we couldn’t swim on our last morning as the pool was being cleaned and so closed up to 10 when we had t leave. The fresh flowers and eggs etc were a lovely touch. My only suggestion would be a second fridge could be helpful. A fabulous place where we were made very welcome. Riley - October 2018
10/10 The Barn was a lovely place to stay and everything lived up to our expectations. We liked the fact that the lights had been left on for our arrival and that there was a Welcome Basket of goodies in the kitchen.
Full marks for equipping the Barn so well. We decided that the kitchen was the best-equipped kitchen of anywhere we had stayed. You seemed to have thought of everything.
One small suggestion. A map would be a helpful addition to the Directions you provide. Those approaching from a different angle found the directions mildly confusing.
Thank you for enabling a group of friends to have a lovely time together! Mills - September 2018
10/10 Hot tub was a great hit. Pool not used as too busy. We were a party with elderly ladies so extra free standing lights would have been helpful in the lounge as would a couple of more upright chairs ( though I suspect there would have been a queue for them ). Overall an excellent few days away, thankyou. Tyer - September 2018
9/10 Overall the property was very well equipped for large groups. There was a slight shortage of china pudding bowls which our group of 15 had to work around. Provision of "toddler beds" was a great help.
The pool was top notch and the grounds were excellent for sun bathing and playing lawn games. The hot tub was enjoyed by all.
In conclusion we would like to commend you on a very well presented vacation venue. We had a great time and hope to return at some time in the future. Leech - August 2018
10/10 Everyone had an amazing time and the house was fantastic we will definitely be back. The swimming pool was perfect for the size of group and not to deep which was perfect for the kids. Tattersall - August 2018
9/10 Very comfortable beds. Having the pool to ourselves in the morning was brilliant and the hot tub an added bonus. Ensuites in all rooms was a plus, and the showers excellent.
Only small criticism was the lack of sufficient drawer space in the bedrooms and the travel cot mattress was not suitable for a week's stay (We did bring our own though)
Wifi was a little variable, but generally very good
A lot of thought has gone in to the facilities to ensure a great holiday for all ages Horsey - August 2018
9/10 We had an amazing weekend. The accommodation is of a high standard and extremely comfortable and unusually more crockery and glassware than people, definite plus. The pool is lovely and great for a family game of water polo. Lees - July 2018
10/10 We enjoyed the house and facilities very much, the hot tub and games room were great and everything was provided to make a very enjoyable stay. The steam railway is a great day out also lots of lovely walks in the Quantocks Mc Sorley - July 2018

10/10 I personally enjoyed staying at lavender barn, there was everything provided for us.and the weather was out of this world. Five days wall to wall sunshine. Absolute wonderful wildlife. I could not fault it , l really enjoyed the whole experience. Will recommend. Thankyou. Grice - June 2018
10/10 Having sole use of pool in morning. The hot tub very relaxing. Play park and toys for the children kept them occupied. Big kitchen where all the family could meet and eat. Nice touches with chocolates for children as adults had toiletries.
We didn't leave all weekend as we had everything there we needed. May 2018
9/10 We appreciated the well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. We enjoyed making good use of the swimming pool and hot tub.
It would be useful to have a washing line (we couldn't find anywhere to put the rotary line provided) and somewhere to hang/dry swimwear and wet clothes.
Walking from East Quantoxhead incorporating the coastal path, looking for fossils on the beach, and Kilve.
Taking the steam train from Bishop's Lydeard to Minehead. April 2018
10/10 We came for the weekend and the grandchildren enjoyed the amenities so much as the weather was beautiful we didn't go anywhere.
The hot tub and the swimming pool were fabulous as was the play area, grandchildren aged between 20 months to 14 years all thoroughly enjoyed .....no arguing 😉
I have never stayed anywhere that was so well equipped, everything we needed was at hand.
I've had quite a few friends asking where we stayed as the photos were wonderful, so lve been passing your details on 👍. April 2018
9/10 Visit to Watchet, Blue Anchor. Steam train trip to Minehead. Good local brewery.
Steps and stones made disabled access difficult. More airers, clothes drying facilities needed. Pool and Jacuzzi brilliant and lovely big, well equipped kitchen. April 2018
10/10 A very enjoyable family birthday getogether (ages 3 - 67 years) very welcome local produce pack, beautiful bedlinen, very, very comfy beds, swimming pool enjoyed by whole family, overall very high quality and very happy family, would love to return (without the snow!!)
Due to very adverse weather (extreme snow) not able to visit attractions March 2018
10/10 Enjoyed swimming pool hot tub and games room. A tumble dryer would be useful. Also if guests are using the pool with young babies they should be told to take their swimming nappies back to their accommodation and not leave them overflowing the bin - not a pretty site. They should leave the area as they would wish to find it
West somerset railway
Trull waterfall - February 2018
9/10 The pool was great, albeit a little chilly going to and fro, and the hot tub went down well. The lounge was a little snug, but we didn't spend a lot of time in there, enjoying more the kitchen/dining space, which was perfect.
We did part of the cycle path from Taunton to Bridgewater, which was great for all ages. - February 2018
10/10 Was fantastic being able to all gather round the kitchen table together putting the world to right. Everywhere was super comfortable. Hot tub and pool was well used though a little more outside lighting would have been helpful walking between buildings after dark. Couldn't believe how well equipped the kitchen was 35 dinner plates we counted definitely no rush to get things through the dishwasher 😊 only minor improvement we could come up with was a clothes airer. Yes there is a washer/dryer but swimwear is not recommended to go in them. With drying gowns and towels on bathroom radiators it was a bit overcrowded.
We all loved the place it is a real gem. We will be looking at retuning next year as a big meet up again and a few of us are looking separately at coming to stay at some of your smaller propertis.
We only went shopping in Taunton had all the shops you could need. Was easy access able and fairly flat for the less agile - January 2018
